#What you need
- A Windows 11 PC, or a Windows VPS on Windows Server 2016 or newer (64-bit).
- NinjaTrader 8, version 8.1.8.4 or newer. Help > About shows your version.
- NinjaTrader's time zone set to a US, UK, Central European, Tokyo, Sydney or UTC zone (Tools > Options > General > Time zone). On any other zone, the algos and most indicators turn themselves off.
- The email you used at checkout.
- Your license key. It starts with PA- and is in your welcome email.
- An internet connection.
- A NinjaTrader connection with live futures data. The Simulated Data Feed moves prices too, but it isn't live. If your data is delayed, the chart says Delayed.
Your plan works on 2 computers.
#1. Download
- Open the download page from your welcome email.
- Enter your checkout email and your license key.
- Click Get download link.
- Click Download. The link works for 15 minutes.
- Save the zip file. Don't unzip it.
The file is named like ParadoxAlgo_2026.11.1.zip. The numbers are the release.
#2. Import into NinjaTrader
- Open NinjaTrader 8.
- In the Control Center, click Tools.
- Click Import, then NinjaScript Add-On…
- Pick the zip you saved.
- Wait for the message that the import worked.
- If NinjaTrader asks you to restart, restart it.
One import adds every Paradox Algo tool at once.
#3. Add an indicator to a chart
- Connect NinjaTrader first. Without a connection, the Strategies… menu doesn't show.
- Open a chart. Click New, then Chart, and pick the market with its current contract month, for example MNQ 12-26. A continuous contract (shown as ##-##) can't trade.
- Check the chart isn't marked Delayed, and that you're not on the Simulated Data Feed.
- Right-click the chart and pick Indicators…
- Find the tool in the list. The names are:
- TrendScore
- DeepWave
- EdgeFlow
- SignalWave
- Nova AI Trader
- QuantumFlow
- Double-click it, then click OK.
#4. Add an algo
The algos are ParadoxV75 (Paradox Algo v7.5), KairosScalper (Kairos) and ParadoxAurum (Aurum). Aurum is made for a 15-minute gold futures chart.
- Open the Output window first. In the Control Center, click New, then NinjaScript Output. Leave it open: the license line shows there only if the window is open when the algo turns on.
- Right-click the chart and pick Strategies…
- Pick ParadoxV75, KairosScalper or ParadoxAurum, then click Add.
- Pick an account. We suggest a Sim account first.
- Pick a Profile in the Presets settings at the top. Custom is the default and uses the values below it.
- ParadoxV75: Conservative, Balanced and Aggressive change eight settings. Layout1 and Layout2 run a complete saved setup and replace every setting from the engine through Session. Your Display settings stay as set.
- KairosScalper: Conservative, Balanced and Aggressive. Kairos has no saved Layouts.
- ParadoxAurum: Custom.
- Scroll to the License settings at the bottom.
- Enter your Email.
- Enter your License key.
- Turn the algo on, then click OK.
You enter the key once for each Windows user. After the first good check, this computer remembers it.
Running more than one algo? Give each one its own Sim account. Two algos on one account share one account position, and NinjaTrader's view of each algo's position then stops matching the account.
Exit on session close. NinjaTrader has its own Exit on session close setting in the strategy settings. NinjaTrader's own default is on, but these algos start with it off.
- ParadoxV75 and KairosScalper: it starts off. If your rules say you must be flat at the close, turn it on.
- ParadoxAurum: leave it off. Aurum closes everything on its own clock: Hard Flatten, 16:30 New York by default. One exception: a trade far enough ahead at the close can be held into the next session (Carry a Working Trade Overnight, on by default). Turned on, NinjaTrader's setting would close those held trades at the session close.
#5. What success looks like
In the Output window you opened in step 4, you will see this line:
ParadoxV75: License active.
KairosScalper and ParadoxAurum show the same line with their own names.
The algo then runs as normal.
Losing your internet doesn't switch off your license. If you turn an algo on while you're offline, it still starts for up to 7 days after its last good check. The Output window shows that date. NinjaTrader itself still needs its connection to trade, so if your connection drops, check your positions once it's back.
It's on, but it hasn't traded yet. That can be normal. Each algo starts by reading the chart's history. If that history says it would be in a trade right now, it waits until that trade would have closed, then it places its first order. ParadoxV75 and KairosScalper also wait while your account already holds a position in that market, until the account is flat. ParadoxAurum doesn't check the account, so start it with your account flat in that market. The Control Center Strategies tab shows it waiting.
#6. Updating to a new release
- Download the new zip from the same page.
- In the Control Center, click Tools, then Remove NinjaScript Assembly.
- Pick ParadoxAlgo and remove it.
- Restart NinjaTrader before you import.
- Import the new zip, as in step 2.
Your saved templates stay, and so does your license. After the restart, check each chart. If your algo is gone, add it again and load your template.
#7. Using a VPS
Install it the same way on the VPS. Use Remote Desktop to reach it.
- The VPS counts as one of your 2 computers.
- Each Windows user enters the key once.
- A second Windows user on the same computer counts as the same computer.
#8. Common problems
The download page says "That didn't match".
- Check the email you used at checkout.
- Copy the key from your welcome email. Paste it, don't type it.
The download page says "This link has expired".
- Links work for 15 minutes.
- Go back to the download page and get a new one.
The import fails, or says a file already exists.
- An older copy is still installed.
- Remove it with Tools > Remove NinjaScript Assembly.
- Restart NinjaTrader, then import again.
The import fails with a NinjaScript error.
- Another add-on on your computer has an error.
- Remove or fix that add-on, then import again.
The Strategies… menu isn't there.
- Connect NinjaTrader first. The menu shows only with a connection.
The tools don't show in the list after the import.
- Restart NinjaTrader, then look again.
- Check your version is 8.1.8.4 or newer.
The algo is on, but it isn't trading.
- Right after you turn it on, it may be waiting for a trade from history to close. See step 5.
- Check the chart isn't marked Delayed, and that you're not on the Simulated Data Feed. The algos need live data.
The contract month changed.
- NinjaTrader charts one contract month, for example MNQ 12-26. MNQ and MES roll every three months. Gold rolls about every two months.
- When they roll, switch the chart to the new month while the algo is flat. Then add the algo again, as in step 4.
The algo won't start. Check the Control Center Log tab. The line starts with:
ParadoxV75 disabled: License check didn't pass, so this strategy didn't start:
The reason follows. Common reasons:
| You see | What to do |
| Your license is already active on 2 computers. To use it on this one, turn on 'Move license to this computer' and enable it again. | Turn on Move license to this computer in the License settings. Then turn the algo on again. The computer you used least recently gives up its seat. |
| You've moved your license the maximum number of times for now. You can move it again after {date}. | Wait until that date. Or use one of your 2 current computers. |
| Enter the email and license key from your welcome email in the License settings, then enable it again. | Fill in both License settings. |
| That license key looks incomplete. Copy it from your welcome email (it starts with PA-) into the License settings. | Paste the whole key again. |
| The email or license key doesn't match. Check both in the License settings. Your key is in your welcome email. | Check both settings for typos. |
| Couldn't reach the license service, and this computer has no recent license check on file. Connect to the internet, then enable it again. | Connect to the internet. Then turn the algo on again. |
| This computer's date or time looks wrong. Correct it in Windows settings, then enable it again. | Fix the clock in Windows. Then turn it on again. |
| This version is out of date. Install the latest version to continue. | Download the latest release. Follow step 6. |
The algo sends no orders when the check doesn't pass. It never touches positions or orders it didn't open.
The Log says NinjaTrader's time zone is not supported.
- Set Tools > Options > General > Time zone to a US, UK, Central European, Tokyo, Sydney or UTC zone.
- Then turn the algo on again.
